LOTTE LYNGSTED JEPSEN
Lotte is the co-founding partner of Copenhagen based innovation and design agency Kirk, Hatch & Bloom. She heads up cross-functional teams on projects for both national and international clients ranging from commercial brands, NGOs, start-ups and scale-ups to municipalities and governments.
Lotte has been working with design thinking, service design and user-centered design for more than 15 years thereby focusing on promoting social and environmental sustainability. In the recent years, she has been working with circular design to fulfill the brand mission: To accelerate sustainability – social and environmental – through design.
She promotes a new approach to both business and public innovation: How user-centricity, prototyping and focus on quality will lead to more meaningful and powerful products, services and systems. She advocates design thinking as a strategic approach throughout the entire value chain to develop new agile business models and future competitive edge.
Parallel to her work life, Lotte is chairwoman of the board at Design Denmark, the trade organization of Danish designers, as she is a board member at the Danish Design Center. Within the recent years, she has been mentoring digital start-ups within the Danish start-up community. She has also been a jury member of the Danish Design Award twice and she is an award winner of the Danish Design Award and KLs Innovation like she has been finalist of the world biggest design award, the Index Award.
She has been a visiting lecturer at CBS and Aarhus University and she has been teaching MBA level students.
Lotte has a master in Interactive Design and Cognitive Semiotics at Information Studies from Aarhus University.
