Shashank is the Founder of Jagriti Yatra and the Jagriti Enterprise Center – Purvanchal (JECP). Over the past 13 years he and Jagriti a charitable organization, he led for a decade, have worked towards the mission of Building India through Enterprise.
During this period, he and his team have outlined enterprise led development approach in Middle India, the India of small towns and districts which has come into focus in recent months after the COVID crisis.
Shashank’s belief is that youth and women of this country from that segment need to engage with nation building through enterprise.
The Jagriti Yatra, is now the largest enterprise journey of its kind in the world, having taken 6,000 young participants on an 8,000 km journey of India every year over the past 13 years; this last year digitally. He is in the process of building a visionary enterprise center next to a 300 year old Banyan tree in Purvanchal (Eastern UP), with the intent of incubating, innovating and inspiring local entrepreneurs in 15 districts of that region.
Shashank is a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA (Hons) from IMD Lausanne. In his day job he is a Partner in a consulting firm, with a focus on Government Strategy and Aerospace and Defence. Shashank is the author of a book “India – Journey through a Healing Civilization” published by Harper Collins India, and has recently written his second, yet to be published, book “India – A diamond in the Rough”.
